Carter County is served by Carter County Tomorrow, a strategic economic development partnership for Carter County, Tennessee and its cities of Elizabethton and Watauga. The partnership includes the Carter County Economic Development Commission, Carter County/Elizabethton Chamber of Commerce, Carter County Tourism Council, and the Workforce Development Complex. The Board of Directors for Carter County Tomorrow serves as the Joint Economic and Community Development Board for Carter County.
